I received the Infinity 3 Pro combo (jacket and pants) in early spring as one of Richa’s latest offerings. Having reviewed several Richa products over the past six years, I was eager to see how this top-tier model in the Infinity line would perform.

Tested on a Husqvarna Norden 901, the pants proved ideal for multi-season adventure touring. Their waterproof membrane, thermal liner, AA abrasion rating, and D3O armor made them an excellent companion through variable spring weather.

Reflective accents are thoughtfully placed along the waist, thighs, and lower legs. The reflective bands are subtle in daylight but highly effective at night, ranking among the best I’ve tested in this category.

Branding

Branding is minimal, featuring reflective “Richa” text on the lower leg and waist, plus a small black “R” logo on the rear waistband.

Zippers

All zippers are weather-sealed and smooth-operating. Two connection zippers (short and 360°) allow pairing with a compatible jacket. The vent zippers feature mesh backing and Fidlock closures, which hold vents securely open during rides.

Thermal Liner

The included thermal liner adds serious versatility. It attaches at the waist with a single zipper and secures at the ankles with snaps and loops. It’s quick to install and remove—perfect for cold mornings or chilly evening rides.

Fit, Comfort & Sizing

The Infinity 3 Pro Pants are offered in regular, long, and short versions:

• Men’s Short: M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL

• Men’s Regular: S–6XL

• Men’s Long: M–2XL

At 6’3″ with a 43″ hip and 34″ inseam, I typically wear an XL. According to Richa’s sizing chart, I opted for 2XL Tall, which proved perfect once the thermal liner and armor were added. Riders over six feet will appreciate the availability of tall sizes.

Comfort:
Even on longer rides, the Infinity 3 Pro Pants remained comfortable. Stretch panels in key areas reduce bulk and allow easy movement on and off the bike.

During a one-hour ride in steady rain, the pants stayed completely dry. Just ensure the vents are closed to maintain full waterproof integrity.

Breathability & Ventilation

The Fidlock thigh vents work brilliantly, using magnetic hooks to keep panels open for optimal airflow. Additional zippered vents at the lower leg add minor cooling but are less effective due to their placement. Overall, ventilation is above average for laminated pants.

Protection

While the Infinity 3 Pro Pants deliver AA-rated abrasion resistance, they come with D3O CE Level 1 armor in the knees and hips—adequate for most touring, but not as protective as Level 2 armor found in some rivals.

Riding pants are often overlooked—but they shouldn’t be. After spending an entire season with the Richa Infinity 3 Pro Pants, they’ve become a staple in my gear lineup.

They eliminate the need for separate rain pants, handle temperature swings with ease, and deliver real comfort on the bike. Whether it’s the laminated waterproofing, solid D3O protection, or clever vent system, these pants feel purpose-built for touring and commuting alike.

Their only shortcoming is the Level 1 armor, which can be upgraded. Otherwise, they’re a fantastic all-season choice for riders seeking durability, flexibility, and protection—without paying premium Gore-Tex prices.
